A bittersweet trip to Mexico...
Having grown up in Mexico, I had forgotten the beauty of a deserted barren land...
Although the reason for the trip was a sad one (family funeral), I could not help but enjoy seeing old friends, forgotten places, and beautiful landscapes.
The high cloud formations where amazing, which differ so much from the cloud formations in Ontario. First off, because in Mexico, the clouds form so much higher because unlike Ontario, Chihuahua does not have nearly the amount of large bodies of water. The deep blue sky during the day, and the starry skies at night were beautiful.
This particular photograph was taken on a new highway which runs from the Presidio, TX border town of Ojinaga, down through Chihuahua, to Cuauhtémoc. At times you could see the road down to as far as the eye could see. Mountains, another luxury we don't have here in southern Ontario. I shall visit again, hopefully sooner, rather than later...
